About Us

MathsFest started in 2010 as a brainchild of Cork IMTA in response to teachers need for more information about project maths, the new maths syllabus for 2^nd level schools in Ireland. The 1^st MathsFest took place on November 2010 with an attendance of over 200 delegates and various trade stands and speakers. Our 2^nd MathsFest took place on October 2011 with 300 delegates and consisted of a bigger programme of speakers and trade stands.

 In 2012 MathsFest moved to a new venue in UCC allowing for over 500 delegates to attend and more speakers and trade stands on the day. It also incorporated the National Conference of IMTA. Further to this, a social aspect was an attractive addition to the event with a banquet on the Friday night.

MathsFest 2013 moves to Dublin where it takes place in University College Dublin and is organised by the National IMTA.
